Trent previously worked in palliative care, nursing homes and aged care, intensive care and emergency nursing.

He is also an active member of the Sunshine Coast community and extends his hobby of playing rugby league and touch football into his role as the Vice President of the Kawana Senior Rugby League Club.

Trent is also Chairman of the Kawana Bowls and Recreation Inc Disciplinary Committee.
